As JR mention that if the flow of the exhaust is better, the reading on psi will be lower. i would like to know how a better intake flow affect the psi readings? Will a better flow read higher or lower PSI?
    thanks

I just recently installed a Greddy Evo exhaust and my max boost pressures dropped from 10psi to 9psi. The motor pulls more than ever though because of less back pressure.

Better intake flow should increase psi readings.

True, that's why the boost will raise a pound or two if you remove the cat.converter.

Well i junked my CAT and my boost went up... but this is with a turbo.. i think it makes for fast flowing exhaust... thus more boost..

Turbo OR SC + Freer Intake = Boost increase
Turbo + Freer Exhaust = Boost Increase
SC + Freer Exhaust = Boost Decrease

    All three = More Power

Make sure I understand this is:
My sc@6psi is not very efficent when it comes to enternal heat build-up. So by putting on the header, I will decrease my boost, but will take some of the load off sc, thus letting it run a little bit cooler, and save a little wear and tear on the system?

    Thankz, alot

The psi ratings of the JRSC are for the stock exhaust path, which is fairly restrictive. 6psi exerted is NOT 6psi used, however. Theres alot of restriction in the stock exhaust path and if you reduce this, then the rpms that the JRSC gives you with its stock pulley is no longer sufficient to give you 6psi, because its being used and is flowing through the engine more efficiently.
